Portland, Oregon's metal-punk warriors Toxic Holocaust have teamed up with Cleveland, Ohio's Midnight for a split 7” to benefit the victims of the Japanese tsunami disaster.
The 7” is limited to a one-time pressing of 1,000 copies on Japanese-flag colored heavy-weight vinyl, and features tracks from both bands (“A.T.O.M.I.C.” by Toxic Holocaust, “Destroy Tsunami’s Power” by Midnight) exclusive to this release. Last Wednesday, Aug 17th, Philly concert-goers were treated intimate performances by Toxic Holocaust, Krum Bums, and Holy Grail at The Kung Fu Necktie. Toxic Holocaust are about to kick it into full gear with Conjure and Command, the band’s long-awaited new full-length and follow up to An Overdose of Death…, hitting streets July 19 via Relapse Records.

TOXIC HOLOCAUST mutated into existence in 1999, when Joel Grind merged his love for classic punk and metal and the flash of L.A. hard rock into his ideal band. Like his influences - Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones - TOXIC HOLOCAUST featured blazing riffs, gravel-throated vocals, and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and a post-apocalyptic world. Grind wrapped all of these elements up with a DIY attitude and begin writing and recording material almost instantly.
